If you blow on your dog's face, does he try to swallow your head?

Or do I have a special one? He is only a 15 pound Havanese but if you blow at him, he tries to swallow all of the moving air and it ends up looking like he is trying to eat your face off.

Is your dog named Roxy by any chance (the weight sounds off but I still have to ask)?

I’ve only seen one dog do this but it is the coolest dog to ever exist.
I’d blow on her nose and she’d jump and try to rip my face off. She’d also do fake barks and make biting motions. Coolest. Dog. Ever.

This is part of the game with my boy Blackjack. He takes one air nip, then leaves his jaw open for you to stick your hand in. He’ll never bite down though. Then he lies down and waits for you to blow in his face again. If you get distracted he’ll nip the air to get more play.

Looks like the OP is looking for anecdotes, which are better suited to IMHO than GQ.

We blow on our younger dogs face to try to discourage her from licking (she’s a licker). She doesn’t seem to like it, but only in that she’ll shy away slightly until you stop blowing and then eagerly resume licking.

I’d just like to share that I did a double-take when I scanned the forum index; this thread had the most recent post in IMHO and so showed up on the index page, but the title got cut off before the word “face”.

No dogs; two cats. Both of them like being rump-scratched just in front of their tails, and both will begin to compulsively groom the fur on their left sides after about ten seconds of this. The manic licking continues until the scratching stops. They really like the butt-skritching but it seems cruel to purposely cause such a strange reflexive reaction.

Weirdos.

No, my dog hated being blown… in the face and would run away if you did.

No, he sneezes.

I went to my neighbors house just now and they have two dogs. I blew in both their faces. They both looked at me like I was retarded

Nope. My girl will endure it for a while (because she loves to sit in my lap) but then struggle to get free. But nothing else.

have two pomeranians and a husky – one pom goes crazy and tries (and is generally successful) is licking the blower’s face crazily. The other pom does nothing and gives a funny look. The husky opens her mouth and goes into full on play mode with her mouth wide open looking for a body part to eat (without biting).

Mine will lick the air when I do that.

I used to love blowing in Gypsy’s (RIP) face, she would yip loudly and run in circles and then come back for more. It got so she would do that if I just inhaled loudly (making a WHOOP sound) as if preparing to blow in her face. Sawyer just looks at me and if I do it again, tends to move away.

Isn’t it interesting how many dogs don’t like their face blown on but will hang it out a moving car window?

I’ll try it at lunchtime and let you know.

I have noticed that she tries to bite the air when she’s got her head out the window of a moving car.

Tried it. It makes her very licketty and bouncetty.

Even worse, I misread the final word of the full title:

“If you blow on your dog’s face, does he try to swallow your load?”

:smack::smack::smack:

My dog did it like twice years ago now just looks annoyed.

She did it the one time I blow dried her, but now she’s too scared of the blow drier to try again.

On the main page, it abbreviated to If you blow on your dog’s…

Just sayin’

An ex-coworker of mine had a terrier who would snap-bite at the air if you blew in its face.

You have a dirty, dirty mind, young lady.
