Regarding, pseudotriton ruber ruber and this thread , should he be commented on? If he was banned, Dopers would not be allowed to comment about him. He is contractually banned, granted it is voulentary, but he is banned by the contract he agreed to.
So, should we talk about him? Is it wrong if he can’t defend himself?

Doesn’t sound like he was “banned” so much as he was “paid not to post anymore”, if I’m catching the drift here right (that’s an awful long thread I’m not about to read through).
Just like a cripple with a gun, he is very capable of defending himself. The fact that he wouldn’t or shouldn’t doesn’t mean he cant.

I skimmed through the thread. As best as I can determine, Libertarian is paying pseudotriton ruber ruber $500 to stop posting here. He is actually going thru Tris so that pseudotriton ruber ruber doesn’t get access to his personal info.
If there’s more to it than that, please elaborate. I’m curious myself.

It’s considered bad form to attack someone who isn’t capable of defending themselves (ie they were banned.) PRR doesn’t quite fit that model, but I think any attempt to goad him into replying would be crass at the very least.
We have never been prohibited from talking about the Banned, just kicking them.
