I don’t think he was running away from his old name - I think he felt that this new name was more interesting than VCO3 and that someone would pat him on his lil’ head and say, “good job!” or “how witty”.

I’ve always believed that, at the very minimum, someone who changes names should be required to announce the fact in a new thread, and/or in a sig line. There are quite a few name changes that i’ve only become aware of because i noticed that the person had thousands of posts and i’d never seen their name before. A search back through their posting history was the only way to discover their previous identity.
Actually, given that it’s the mods and admins who approve and facilitate these name changes, maybe there should be a sticky thread in ATMB where every name change is listed.
We already have a Bob. How about Ted?
