If you had three wishes...

Three wishes, that’s hard. I wish I had more time to think about my choices…

Damn! I wish I hadn’t wasted that wish like that.

Damn! Ok, ok. I wish to start over…

Oh, I love these kinds of threads!

  1. no human being may ever lie again (think Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey) for any reason (not even little white lies)
  2. money is abolished and everyone has everything the need and want without worry
  3. we all live for exactly 100 years in absolutely perfect health with not a single ache or pain, but then WE MUST GO.

Yours is my favorite one.

interesting and a bit bizarre

what if there is someone who is unhappy, and a long life only makes them feel worse

That’s what they call horsemanship. (Think about it…)

I’ll take flight, the ability to survive unharmed in lethal environments, and that time-stop shtick. If I can’t parley those into a comfortable living with enough wealth to buy all the health care I need, I don’t deserve to live, and I could see some mighty cool stuff, from the edge of space to the bottom of the Marianas trench.

Ooh–this is a tough one! So many choices, so little time.
I wish to be healthy and to look the way I did when I was 25 until I am 50, then look the way I will at 50 until I die.

I wish to have enough financial security so that I may travel overseas every year.

I wish to be succesful in my pursuits–personal, familial and professional.

(hope that last one isn’t too general)

Good point. I’ll amend it to include an option for early departure, at their own hands.

With no penalties, either.

1- Health
2- Enough money to do whatever I wish, whenever I wish, for long as I wish.
3- The mental and physical ability to live a life without any restrictions set by myself or anyone else.
and, to quote Sam Vines, a hard-boiled egg. This way I know that at least 1 thing I wish for is possible.

  1. …that my husband never had a stroke.

  2. …that our daughter never had to go through the heartache of being
married to a man who lied constantly and cheated on her.

  3. …that I had an annual income of 1 million dollars a year until I die.

  1. 50 billion dollars
  2. The ability to eat anything I want and never weigh over 120lbs
  3. Talent equal to that of Sheryl Crow on the guitar and vocals
