I got the Purple today second thanks to The Simpsons and the Leftorium. For some reason Monty Burns struggling with a can opener popped in my mind.

I got green and yellow quickly, and I’m currently really stuck on the last eight. It’s never taken me close to this long to complete the puzzle.

I’ll come back and report whether I end up feeling like a total idiot or not.

Same here. After staring at what was left for a long long time (and taking one wrong guess) blue finally clicked for me. And then purple by default.

And me as well. Purple finally clicked for me, as I have a sister who’s left-handed.

I’m not sure I would ever have gotten Blue, except by default.

Blue was not obvious to me.

Same.

Yeah Blue was my last one and I was not sure exactly what the answer was.

Yeah, it’s surprisingly niche, especially for blue. Happens to be my livelihood, so works for me but I can’t imagine the average person getting it:

It’s also commonplace for the people who do the graphics for online new organizations.

I share that characteristic - and so I got it fairly quickly

Today’s was very difficult for me.

I didn’t know can openers come in left handed varieties, and barely remember that’s true of golf clubs and guitars.

Also, I’ve never in my life used Photoshop.

Well, I ended up with a rare fail (only my second ever). I stared at those eight boxes off and on all damn day and never got any closer to solving, until I just started making random guesses in frustration.

But I don’t feel too stupid, for exactly the reasons @suranyi posted above. I don’t think I would have gotten this one if I’d had a week.

Green blue yellow, then stupid with no mistakes today. What’s with the obsession for The Simpsons?

For today’s (the 28th) purple category, what is the metaphor involving eggs? My mom and I were discussing it and speculating it had to do with broken eggs or scrambled eggs (both of which can’t be undone), but we weren’t sure exactly.

unscramble an egg (it’s easy to make chaos out of order, but not vice versa)

Thanks! I hadn’t heard that one before but it makes sense.

Or “you can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs.”

Today (3/1), Blue was my last/default category. I doubt if I would ever have figured it out.

I recognized the blue category before the green one.

I got Blue second. Green was my last one this time. Recognized purple.
