No, he was Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan. Alex Winter was Bill S. Preston.

I, too, thought blue was going to be purple. Which was the least common blue? I think of them as all pretty much on the same level of popularity or obscurity, depending on your wheelhouse.

ETA: oh, purple. Yeah, one was not like the others but that’s the one that clued me in on the purple theme (got it second.)

Excuse me but that is Bill S. Preston Esquire.

=air guitar=

And you were right not to consider it

Got had by the red herring today. Seemed perfectly reasonable; guess I should have known Rodeo Drive is in Beverly Hills not Hollywood. I’m more embarrassed at how long it took for me to get blue after getting green and yellow.

I thought it was a quite challenging one today. Blue was last; I’d only ever heard of one of those types of penguins.

I got it relatively quickly, but blue was a big WTF for me. I did guess the category, but only knew two of them. I was on the right track early on but couldn’t even find a third one to fit. The semi-red herring was pretty obvious when there wasn’t anything that came close to fitting the fourth.

I got a perfect run, only because when I was down to the last eight items (blue and purple) I took a guess and got blue

Same here. Never heard of chinstrap or macaroni penguins. May have heard of king penguins,

Different people have diffent knowledge I got the blue group first as I knew all of them. I did find it a relatively easy puzzle today.

OK, you guys have sucked me in. I tried Friday and only got two categories and was frustrated because I didn’t know the answer. So I spent the weekend playing practice games and tried again today with success. The practice games always did the colors in the same order but I understand that in the real game they color denotes the difficulty. In that case, since I got purple third, I am feeling fairly good.

Today I learned that melon is a whale part. Am I the only one who didn’t know this?

No, you’re not the only person who didn’t know that.

Thirded. No idea that whales had one of those.

There are a minimum of four people who did not know that prior to today

Make that five. Thought that should have been the purple. Today’s purple leapt out at me.

Well, thanks everyone. I feel slightly less dumb now.

Penguins and whales. Did the puzzle setter go on a holiday to the southern hemisphere?

Sherlock Holmes is “Kid Lit”?
