Yes, you are correct. However, in my somewhat-addled mind, ‘Blue Ice’ is what solved it for me.
Blue ice and not ice blue? The latter is what I hear more often.
Not me. I hear the former more often. It used to be a brand name for those ice-pack thingies that you freeze and then use in your cooler to keep your food cold. Not sure if that brand still exists, but that’s how I associate ‘blue ice’.

This was OK - I just had a couple of false friends - I thought NOPE was in and REMOVE was the fakeout for green, and then I thought FEATHERS sounded like a horror movie after I remembered NOPE was one. Didn’t have them down to one year, though. Purple I saw after blue was eliminated but before i clicked.

I was completely stuck after the first two. It took several minutes to finally see purple and even knowing the blue category I might have only picked out one. Just not my category.
I tried shy before the purple words before finally seeing horse.
I got them all pretty easily. I knew what Blue had to be, but couldn’t determine which was the fourth until they were the last category left.

Figured out which word was likely purple from the onset but took me a bit to figure out how it was being used. FEATHERS was the obvious outlier to me, but I haven’t heard or used the expression “horse feathers” in such a long time that it didn’t occur to me until later in the puzzle.. Blue was a big WTH for me. I only positively identified one of the words as belonging to the category. I would have been screwed if it wasn’t my leftover category, though I was on the right track with the one I knew. I just didn’t know any others.
In general, yellow is obvious and green is synonyms. Purple is often word+__, or add a letter/drop a letter. I like to solve the entire puzzle and then try to enter it in reverse rainbow, if I can. Sometimes, I can’t figure out which is supposed to be which.

Saw purple immediately though it took me a few seconds to find the fourth. The rest were equally easy to me, so while I tried to reverse rainbow, I completely failed at figuring out the order of difficulty. No problems with blue for me. All were common to me in the sense they were used.
Same for me, including exact same solve order.
