Yeah, VELVETEEN gave away purple immediately. Then I actually decided to try for the reverse rainbow (I usually don’t bother), which was easy to get today.

Knew what purple must be via elimination, and saw a connection between two of the words which turned out to link all four.
Despite confidence, another failure at guessing the order of tbe reverse rainbow. Another reminder that I don’t know what most people know and I dont even grasp the extent to which I don’t know that.
I also got purple first, but I started with Trix. But I didn’t see any other cereals, so….
But that’s probably just because my eye happened upon that word before velveteen, which was also a giveaway.
Here’s my Wednesday game. It initially looked intimidating, but once I got Purple it fell into place a lot easier.

This was easy enough. Took me a little while to remember the full title of Mr Rodgers - never seen it or Captain Kangaroo

Once I saw what was left for purple, the category suddenly fell into place.
Fat finger typo, otherwise very easy.

Did all right with Thursday’s puzzle. Didn’t figure out the Blue category though.

I had a hunch about purple, but it was so complicated to describe that I wasn’t sure about it until it was all that was left.

Bit of a toughie on those first two.
Tough one today. I failed it.
I couldn’t figure out the reverse rainbow order.

Thursday.
Blue was in my wheelhouse as I feel a weird greasy unease about knowing a fact in the blue category.
Does anyone else ever learn a fact, a snippet of information, about which you then unwillingly attach undue importance to, and it begins to annoy you to know, like an unwanted tune whistling in your head. Not a major obsession, just something you learn that whenever you are reminded of that fact, it pulses with undue significance in your mind.
Got blue first, purple when I said them, then the others.
I solved it fairly quickly today: Green, Purple, Yellow, Blue
Doubt if I’d have ever gotten Blue on its own.
Friday
Can get fucked if purple is more obscure than blue.
Makes me want to do old fashioned prank calls and ask questions
Friday. What a shamozzle. Complete failure.
