If you liked Warehouse 13 and the Libarians

A spiritual successor has appeared.

The Show is called Blood and Treasure and it airs on Tuesday. Last week was a combined episode one and two and this week was ep 3. Synopsis is that a terrorist has plans to use the stolen remains of Cleopatra as a weapon of mass destruction, quite possibly like Indiana Jones and the Ark of the Covenant. The main protagonists are a former FBI agent and a Thief who must track down the terrorist before his plans come to completion.

While its not exactly in the same vein as the warehouse and librarians, I get the same kind of vibe from B&T. Though i did post something similar on Reddits Warehouse forum, they were not exactly enthused about the show. A summer show and it looks to them like a train wreck. Well fair enough, their opinion. But at this point, every other show is kinda boring with the exception of AoS and Legends on network and since legends is done till 2020 and AoS has only maybe ten more episodes for the short season, B&T has turned out to be a nice surprise.

I hate to admit I watch the first episode twice, and fell asleep in the first 45 minutes both times. So I guess I won’t be watching anymore episodes.

I had high hopes for it too.

Tried it. Didn’t like it. There was recently another show of a similar dynamic called Whiskey Cavalier, which I didn’t like either, and a couple of years ago there was one called Hooten and the Lady, which this time I really liked but it only lasted one series.

It’s clearly a difficult genre to get right, and you can’t force chemistry.
