Then get your little tookus outside and start stalking, girlfriend!
I’m psyched, too. I heard Rivers locked himself in the studio for three days and didn’t let anyone in for one song. ooooooh. Coolness.
EVERYBODY!
** I don’t want to be a lone man anymore
It’s been a year or two since I’ve was out on the floor
Shakin’ booty, makin’ sweet love all the night
It’s time I got back to the good ol’ life…**
Now I’m humming to myself (independent of my subject heading)
We were good as married in my mind,
But married in my mind’s no good…
God bless those boys in the Weezer. And Demo, Demo, first you don’t like Faulkner, now you’re dissin’ on Pinkerton. Did shaving those legs make your brains addled, son? 'Cause that’s the only explanation I can think of.
Ok, remember I told you all about my stint working for a concert promoter? Well, one of my jobs was to basically be the “whatever” girl for the bands, meaning, whatever they wanted or needed, I was responsible for it (to a certain degree, you dirty minded thinkers out there!)
Anyhoo, one day it was the Weezer show. I was not feeling too well that night, I wasn’t even supposed to work the show but they called me at the last second and begged, what could I say? So I get there and start setting up the backstage and Marcel (one of the promoters) told me that the guys needed a ride to their hotel to freshen up before the show. So, we all hop into my little red Mazda, singer up front and the other one in the back with 2 bimbos they picked up from the show in Syracuse the night before. The speakers in my car was on the fritz so I couldn’t play the radio, hence we had to SPEAK to each other (oh no!) The singer (is that that Rivers guy?) was really WEIRD! He was all huddled up in his overcoat and kind of tried to hide in it like a turtle while the other one was like crazy, party animal guy who wouldn’t shut up! I dropped them off at the hotel and told them to call on the cell phone when they needed to be picked up, but they ended up taking a cab later on while I worked the front door taking tickets. I don’t remember the show too much, by that point Strep Throat had kicked in hard core and I left the show early.
New album? Yaayy, fer chrissakes! Weezer came to my neck of the woods a few weeks ago, but I didn’t find out until the night of. Turns out tickets sold out in 2 minutes (literally) anyway.
Clutch is finishing work in the studio right now. Hopefully we can expect a early '01 release and tour! From what I hear at http://www.pro-rock.com they were basically finished with the album, then signed to Atlantic- so they had to start over.
Which reminds me… I bought Pitchfork, Jam Room and a cool green hat off the net over summer after I got my first check. Neil Fallon is my hero.
So Beebopaloobopawompshamboo and Domo Arigato if ya got too!
