If you were a fish, what kind of fish would you be?
Would you swim gracefully under the sea?
A large fish or small fish, a teensy or grand fish?
A dangerous shark even if that is your wish
Fishes come in all shapes and all sizes
the grandtacular floogle and the mumpely moozes
Colors abound from purple to green
Glittering diamonds and jasmine so clean
Fishes have moods too doncha know
Some have dark feelings and others may glow
Would you be a happy-go-lucky fun fish
or a smiling trout with a flappy flap swish
Would you be a clownfish, the jester of town
Maybe a blowfish with that funny face frown
Would you live in the tropical breeze
or the swamp with the mudfish who go hopping with ease
Would you be the bass or the trout
big mouth or small mouth there’s no need to pout
or perhaps the elegant tuna?
Why didnt you say so so soona? (groan)
If you were a fish, what kind of fish would you be?
It’s better when wetter, under the sea
Fish live in harmony with a natural order
down past the waves and south of the border
Maybe you’re afraid that you will be eaten
By the giant gogrooker or the snap-toothed slameeden
But if you’re a smart fish, you have nothing to fear
Swim fast and swim free, and it will be clear
Fish are our teachers our friends and our dinners
Informing the world and all the beginners
life is meant to be enjoyed with a grin and with grace
so put away that gumpy gus face
