They would probably point out that I was seeing a counselor, had a mental condition, and was taking medication for a bi-polar disorder.
They wouldn’t say that my wife and I saw a marriage counselor several years ago, I have epilepsy, and one of the anti-seizure medications I’m on can also be used to treat BD.
I collect mannequin hands (the old compo type), and some people have thought that was extremely weird and creepy. I don’t do anything bad with them - I had a lady hand wearing a lace glove and holding an atomizer on my vanity. At Halloween I may have them out, but that seems apropros.
Oh, and I am quiet and a loner and have lights on into the wee hours even though I leave for work pretty early. And my ex-husband would be the first in line with his diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, which he has tried for years, unsuccessfully, to have some professional agreement on, but insists I am so good at it that I have everyone fooled - except him.
Another quiet loner, unmarried and living alone; I own all the Harry Potter books and movies and other fantasy/science fiction genre books and movies; also a few violent movies like Gladiator and Casino Royale, so obviously I live in a violent fantasy world. My 50+ autographed copies of George Stephanopoulos’ book. Um, what else? I saw a therapist for a brief while about 25 years ago. Oh, and I work in the registrar’s office at a state university and I have access to students’ records (although I don’t have access to everything and we are not allowed to even look at student records unless we have to to do our jobs). And I’m kind of untidy (hey, I live alone!).
They’d make a big deal of my long term (since age 15, 35 now) depression and anxiety, 2 failed overdoses.
Born to a mother and father who were 16 when they had me…alcoholic dad and now recovering alcoholic myself. Dad stabbed outside pub and killed when he was 36. In and out of women’s refuges whilst growing up, saw and experienced much abuse and violence. Did lots of drugs from about age 13 and once got arrested for stealing…it wouldn’t be a pretty picture of me I’m guessing, say if I did flip out and go on a murder spree…especially if The Daily Mail got hold of my past
Let’s see. Longer past history: Loner child. Abused as a teenager, ran away and was homeless, dropped out of school after 8th grade. Received treatment for severe depression, several times. Was a member of two hard-right Christian organizations (a church and a school) as a child and teen, including one noted by the Southern Poverty Law Center as being a racist militia group… which was shut down forcibly by ATF .
Personal hobbies: Former huge video game addict. It was one of the strains that broke my marriage. Like, owning every console released between 1977 and 2001, with over 5000 separate releases, even own three arcade games. Former huge comic book fan, with a collection in storage of around 13,000 comics (especially focused on 1940s-1970s). Huge personal library of wide variety, with many titles that would pique curiosity (there’s a shelf of WWII books that inexplicably all have a swastika on the spine, for instance). Current huge porn collection-- several hundred DVDs/Blu-Rays, about 2 terabytes of saved stuff (which is actually not that large as it sounds as current HD clips can be like a gig a minute). They might also get a little weirded out that not a single bit of it stars a male. I’m sure they could find something interesting in my 2000+ title-strong LD/DVD/Blu-Ray non-porn collection, too, especially since I tend to focus on classics and imports, so have stuff like The Birth of a Nation and Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom.
Recent history: Happy to stay inside and not talking to anyone for days/weeks on end. Estranged from most family and friends. Hardcore academic focus–to the point that I did shove people out of my life for several years, which is the main explanation for the estrangement-- that led to receiving two degrees in pretty disparate fields while never receiving anything less than an A+ in every class taken. Heavy binge drinker who has received medical attention for injuries received on more than one occasion. Last fiancee had serious mental illness problems, spending more time in mental hospitals during the relationship than she did with me.
But the media would probably dig up the picture of me at 18 with long black hair and combat boots, and figure out a way to blame Marilyn Manson.
(I did always feel like it was a bit of a cheat, though. When I was a kid, A+ was reserved for perfection. 100/100. In most of my classes at university, it was 95/100 or some random non-perfect threshold, sometimes even 90/100, and a curved class could-- and did-- yield times when 65/100 could work.)
Honestly, I think if a killer had a room dedicated to waffles or had 20,000 frozen waffles, that the media would at least mention it.
Hmmm… now I know what to do with that room that I never use. I’m going to turn it into a waffle museum… just in case. (Of course, I’ve always wanted to go out back on the farm and burry a large animal -maybe a horse- with a computer so it looked like the animal used the computer, just to screw with future scientists)

Keeps several blunt and/or sharp weapons in her room (you can never be too careful! :D).
Reads and writes very dark fiction and has either too much or too little attachment to any given character.
Isn’t Christian.
“She was always quiet and studious in school, I wonder what happened”… dun dun dun…
Moves houses often.
Plays violent video games…?
