Yo,
A simple question but a not-so-simple answer, if your life was a videogame, which would it be?
I would be the original NES Battletoads: classic and cool, but sometimes frustratingly difficult.
Let the good times roll,

Hello! and… goodbye!
Earthbound.
I’ve got about three really good, close friends, I travelled far from home, my mom thinks I’m pretty cool, my dad gives me money every time I call him, I have a healthy hatred for New Age Retro Hippies, Abstract Art, and Cranky Old Ladies, I know a Struttin’ Evil Mushroom when I see one, and on top of all that, I have PSI Rockin.
Also, bizarre things happen to me every day for no damn reason. When I get into a fight with someone, my world goes all trippy and weird music starts playing.
Spankety, spankety, spankety.
Ah, love that game. You know, there’s a rather active underground Earthbound fanatic group? I found it while clicking on the fun “Stumble!” button in Firefox.
To answer the question…
Um…fuck. I dunno. What about “Snake, Rattle, ‘n’ Roll”?
I love Earthbound as well. Still got the linky for that group?
Curveball.
Cause just when I think I have my things figured out, the next level is exceedingly difficult and I have to start all over again.
ok not really, my life is pretty bland and predictable… I just love that game.
Here ye be.
Realistically?
MS Flight Simulator.
What would I like it to be?
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
Me? I’m minesweeper. Takes a bit to get used to, repetitive, some depth but not enough to last the ages. Also; mostly liked by geeks.
I’m working to upgrade to FFXII, though.
Instead of Duck Hunt, it would be Danny Hunt.
Some days I feel like it must be a game to f with me haha.
Hmmmm… Is there a game where you wander around for about a year trying to figure out what to do next?
It wouldn’t be a video game. It would be good old pinball, with yrs truly as the ball - going this place and that and smacking into walls at every turn
This sounds like the first time I played Final Fantasy for the old Nintendo.
On a bad day, Frogger. Bad days are filled with dodging and occasional non-dodging.
On a good day, The Secret of Monkey Island. No good day is complete without random silliness.
One of the Metroid games. Doesn’t matter which. My life is a giant puzzle, with seemingly very weird things happening that aren’t explained or used until later.
Space Invaders. The enemy just keeps coming and coming and coming until you are overwhelmed. All you can do is fight the Good Fight and go down swinging.
Quiddity, that reminds me of a bumpersticker I saw once: Life is like a pinball game. You rack up points or you lose your balls.
My life would be Pong, and I’d be that little digital ball.
The sims.
I sleep, eat, work, clean, go to the bathroom, read a book for 10 minutes, think about calling some friends, all before passing out on my floor 1/2 way to the bedroom.
Maybe Ico (or perhaps Adventures of Lolo, with its more er…rounded…protagonist). With occasional interludes of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.
What can I say? It’s an odd life, but it beats the alternative.
Lode Runner, because I always thought running around and grabbing bags of money while being chased by guys in masks was a good parable for life.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Even though I don’t steal cars and shoot people, that’s pretty much the world I live in (it is based on L.A. after all).
