If you're good with colors, I need your help.

I’m making a hooded, pullover sweater, size 3T to sell at a craft show. I don’t really care for the colors in the pattern and I want the sweater to be for a boy or a girl. The main part of the sweater is navy blue, but I don’t know which color would be better for the trim, red, yellow or white.

What do you think ?

You’re making just one, or several? If several, why not do some of each?

If only one, I can’t say I’d be crazy about yellow trim with navy blue. I’d pick red first (more colorful) and white second.

White

I’ve never made this sweater before and I’m not sure if I will enjoy making it so, for now, I’m only making one. Possibly more later.

White, because it would go with more things.

If you get the right yellow for your blue, it’ll look playful and very cute. If you get the wrong yellow, both the sweater and the child will look ill.

White is safer. (And will also look good.)

Of the choices given, I’d pick white.

Yellow or white. I’d look good in blue with white.

You could always go the Gymboree route and use all three.

White

Red and blue is awesome for a girl, but white and blue will also go for a boy.

Oh yeah forgot to mention. My problem with white trim is that it goes dirty.

Of the three choices you gave, white gets my vote.

I vote yellow.

White. Off-white. Or, get a creamy, light yellow.

White

I’d go white. It’s fairly navy blue + white is fairly unisex, you don’t have to worry about the white trim going with any other colours and it looks good.

Just, strike the “it’s fairly” beginning the second sentence, and it’ll be even better.

With navy blue, I would say white. Yellow may work, but it really depends on the exact shade of yellow. Blue+Yellow is one of my favorite color combinations, but I’d have to see it in person to really tell you if it works or not.

Red is pretty much straight out in my opinion.
