I think I’m going to call them “Chewy Sugar Bombs”, a la Calvin, whose favorite cereal was Crunchy Sugar Bombs until that was supplanted by Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs.
The sugar cookies I bake always burn on the bottoms but they still taste good. I put frosting and colored sugar on top of them when they’re done. Thankfully we only have them once a year. They’d be dangerous otherwise.
When I was little, I always enjoyed visiting my grandmother’s house because she always had a tin of sugar cookies for me and my brother. Sugar cookies are tasty.

Try an AirBake pan. I’ve never burned the first batch of cookies or biscuits or anything using them. They insulate the bottoms of the cookies so they don’t get burnt before the tops are done.
Yummy sugar cookies. I made chocolate chip cookies this morning before work…just because. Brought 'em in to work. Along with a squeeze bottle of Hershey’s Dark Syrup & a steel bowl of whipped cream I made whilst baking the cookies and left it next to the coffee pot (the one brewing Starbucks Yukon).
But I was thinking of making some of those, whaddyecallum, Russian Tea Cakes, in the next day or two. That’s somewhat in the neighborhood of a plain sugar cookie, I think.
