I'll have a zesty chicke..psych!

…Zesty chiiiiiiicke…

How much spit you think is gonna be in that guy’s salad?

…?

It’s a new and annoying TV commercial for Taco Bell’s new Zesty Chicken Bowl. I miss Gidget, the chiuhaha, now.

It is a reference to a commercial for some generic fast food restaurant, in which the protagonist is making the poor worker jump around like a monkey boy because the dish supposedly isn’t made until he orders it. While cute, as a former food service worker, I can tell you that this putz is the nightmare customer.

Ahhh!

Many thanks

Wait, does chiuahuaha taste like…chicken??

The joys of not having cable…did I just say that?

Commercials like this one and the ones Sonic used to have where the customers complained that they didn’t have something Sonic offered absolutely infuriate me and I want to break something every time I see one.

No joy for you. I don’t have cable, either, and I was subjected to this very commercial less than an hour ago.

From someone who has eaten a chihuahua, I would say, its a lot tougher and more stringy.
I kid, I kid… shifts eyes nervously…

If you guys wanna take the guy out back and beat the crap outa him, I’m cool with that. That chick is hot, and I wouldn’t mind the chance to comfort her?

The trick is to have no TV - cuts way down on the obnoxious commercials.

Well, you are what you eat.

If he’s lucky, spit’s the ONLY “special” substance he will unknowingly ingest!

That’s why I don’t bristle when some fool calls me a pussy.

This thread is better suited for Cafe Society. I’ll move it for you.

Cajun Man
for the SDMB

As a former fast food employee, this commercial makes me see RED. Unfortunately, as more and more mexicans come into the country and work the fast food jobs that affluent, spoiled suburban kids are increasingly unwilling to work, we’ll have less decent human beings out there who have had to endure working in fast food.

Freejooky, I sincerely hope the syllogistic implications of your post were some kind of horrible accident.

That being said, this ad and the one for some internet (or maybe PC?) provider showing some neurotic hassling their 24/7 tech support drone for reassurance about a hundred hypotheticals (increasingly unrelated to anything technical), and ending with “I’ll call you back in an hour” can not bode well for wage-earners.

Whoa- poorly-worded run-on sentence; unintentional non-hilarity ensues!

What I was attempting to communicate - “as less people have to work fast food as a teenage rite of passage, there is a far less chance of them growing up to be decent human beings with a sense of respect for the fast food worker.”

Ah. That’s better. I thought that was what you meant, but wasn’t sure.
