I solved today’s Redactle (#29) in 130 guesses with an accuracy of 52.31%….it was eating at me that I didn’t get it quicker.

I gave up on Semantle #97 in 106 guesses with 1 hint. My first guess had a similarity of 4.98. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #40. My last guess had a similarity of 14.47.
I got the nearest word @ guess 96.
I solved Redactle #30 in 55 guesses…or was it 49? Sometimes Redactle throws in the plural of a word I’ve entered as an extra guess, and it did six of those today…apparently this is something I need to toggle off?
Anyway. Back to Semantle.
There’s a toggle to make it happen every time, but if you’re holding down shift when you hit enter it’ll pluralize just that guess.
Yeah, hmm, it was toggled off, I’m really not sure what’s happening. I play on an iPad, so I’m not sure of the shift key has an analog.

I solved today’s Redactle (#32) in 10 guesses with an accuracy of 90.00%. That’s the first time since Meryl Streep that I was able to look at the layout and infer the general topic. Back to the higher scores tomorrow I’m sure.

117+ for me, went down a cultural rabbithole before giving up and googling a phrase. It weren’t no Meryl Streep this time.
152 for me. I figured it out after inputting a bunch of numbers and seeing the phrase “13 or 17 years.”
I solved today’s Redactle (#34) in 42 guesses. I got the general topic pretty quickly, and then figured out specifically because I put in ears, and immediately recognized the part about LBJ picking up his dog that way.

Probably close to a personal best. No top 1000 before I got the answer.
Redactle on the other hand (SMH): I solved today’s Redactle (#34) in 217 guesses with an accuracy of 47.00%.
I solved today’s Redactle (#35) in 30 guesses with an accuracy of 70.00%.
My iPad was still producing plurals, so I did this on my laptop & the problem didn’t occur.
Just tried these. Semantle is not compelling, redactle is more interesting.

Honestly…so far off course.
66 for me. I turned the pluralise thing on, thinking that a guess of cat would also include cats, took four goes before I realised it was using two guesses to do it.
