I had a book as a kid I liked, I think it came from a book clearance rack somewhere. It was like an encyclopedia of fruit, it would have illustrations on one page of the fruit and different varieties and on the other page stories about the fruit. I can remember the entry on mangoes mentioned an Indian princess who had a variety named after her?
