I'm a small business owner-partner

Wheee. I’ve made my first sales. It’s not much, but it’s something. Hopefully we’ll be going into print in a few months. Unfportunately, I can’t say exactly what company or products Ive got on this board. C’est la vie.

Congrats! It’s a great feeling, isn’t it? Here’s to hoping it’s the first sale of many!

I’m building a new division for a small company. It involves buying and selling high ticket transportation items (no, not used cars!). Basically, I’ve had to build this division from scratch, finding sellers and buyers from trade magazines. I’ve been working on this for the last 3 months. Each month I’ve exceeded our (reasonable) goals, but this month we’ve started to boom! It looks like I’ll book 2.5 times our profit goal! Since a large chunk of my pay is commission, that’s a very good thing!

Yes it is. I’m afraid my partner and I are mostly working with about 200$ in capital plus pre-existing equipment. This far we’ve back about half that.

I’m hoping print publing will be more lucrative, after weve made a name for ourselves. I’m also hoping that a few dirty marketing tricks will get us more sales, like giving them away and hoping people will pay because we ask them too will result in more moola. C’est la vie.
