What a bizarre commercial! There’s a rapping gumball doing a bouncing sing-along thing, ending outside the corner shop where the action begins and a wish that a pigeon will poop on both the Extra gum-chewers in the classic convertible.
“I’m an angry gumball…”
What struck me as so weird about this commercial is that is was preluded by about a week of commercials just showing the gumball and saying “Find out why I’m angry…” or something to that affect.
I can’t really put my finger on it either but this commercial is definitely bizarre.

Just saw this advert tonight; tdc thought it had something to do with gumballs and nutrasweet (?), while I think it’s the gum version of Eminem. YMMV
I love it! It’s so cute, but I think instead of “I hope that pigeon nails both of you,” he should say, “and fuck both of you.” It would be much angrier, although less appropriate. YMMV
Well I guess you were kind of ready for this then, Cisco – having been warned that there was a gumball on the warpath. This commercial was the first I’d heard about it, so you can imagine my astonishment.
i thought it was lame. i’m boycotting extra. (by boycotting i mean i don’t buy it anyway)

This one caught my attention.
It is now one of my favorite commercials. It’s bizarre in a clever way.
