I'm angry, and I apologize

In this thread about the recent banning and this thread about paying for the SDMB, I came across as really obnoxious.

I’m going to go back to each thread and apologize there, but I thought I’d put it here, too. It’s been a bad morning, but it’s not the fault of anyone here, and I’m sorry I took it out on you.

So why am I angry?

There was another shooting here in the metro DC area. This shooting occurred not too far from the first few shootings, in Montgomery County. [They haven’t tied this one to the other sniper activity, though.] But unlike the others, this one caused a big traffic snarl in the area. Anyone who’s driven in this area knows that on a good day there are perhaps 300 zillion accidents, and traffic is routinely backed up for hours. But this one was different; various large roads were blocked off completely, and no one could move.

I came upon a roadblock and decided to take back roads, as did several others. But I was just trading one inconvenience for another, as I quickly found myself in another huge traffic snarl.

Anyway, to make this shorter, I finally found one Metro train station, but no parking. Much later, I found a second, no parking. Finally went to to the third, where GoldiDan found parking to be just right.

The trains were packed, of course, and as some of you might know I am wearing a corrective boot on my right foot because of an ankle injury. This limits my mobility, and even in the best of conditions it’s tough to get around on the train. And of course no matter where I stood - all seats taken - the doors were opening on that side. I couldn’t win.

So by the time I finally got to work, I was tired, starving, hurting, and frustrated. None of the problems I had were caused by anyone in particular, and I’m sure I contributed to them in no small amount. You know how it goes: problems compound problems.

So again, I’m sorry. I was cranky and posted cranky (no offense to Cranky, who’s not). This was wrong. I hope I never do it again.

Stupid me.

No problem friend. Take care of yourself.

Enjoy,
Steven
