I'm ashamed of you people

And you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Over here , Diogenes goes into orgasmic spasms over the fact that Mick Jagger dissed Bush. And the rest of you sorry dipshits joined right in.

For those of you that are American citizens and participated in that pathetic little circlejerk of drooling, mouth-breathing idiocy: whether you like Bush or not, he is our President. And he was dissed by a jackoff rock-and-roller.

This is not about politics. There is such a thing as basic, common courtesy in this world, and for that to happen to a head of state - ANY state - is just plain rudeness and lack of manners. For it to happen to ours should have pissed all of you off.

And you sorry fucks exulted in it like dogs rolling in shit!

I take it back. I’m not ashamed of you. I’m embarrassed by you. And forget the “be ashamed of yourselves” statement. That implies that you have the basic manners and morals to understand that you did something wrong, and you proved conclusively that you don’t.

Cecil, if you read this: your logo says Fighting Ignorance Since 1973. This is a sterling example of why it has taken so long: the fucking barbarians are in the majority and the gap is widening.

Actually it demonstrates the principle that ours is a nation of laws and we’re all citizens and equals. A reservation is a reservation and I wouldn’t give up my reservation for anyone no matter how rich or “important” they might be.

This is performance art, right?

I don’t like Mick Jagger, but I don’t like Bush even more. Perhaps you’d be happier in Nepal? They’ve still got a monarch over there. Here in the US, we’ve got a proud tradition of mocking our leaders. Keeps 'em humble.

I’d have more respect for our president if he said “hey, you know what…THE SIZE OF MY HOTEL ROOM DOESN’T MEAN JACK SHIT”

I’m ashamed of both Mick Jagger and the President (coming this fall to FOX!) for fighting like fucking four year olds over who gets the prettier room. Is Bush going to be hosting cocktail parties in the room? If THAT’S why he needs it, I might see a reason…but Jesus CHRIST this is petty shit.

That’s right, he’s the PRESIDENT. NOT THE KING. I don’t care who it is-if I had those rooms reserved, I would not vacate them simply because someone else who was more powerful than I wanted them.

That’s Jagger’s right.

Well, it did take place in a foreign country, Austria, Mick Jagger isn’t an American, and there are other nice hotels in Vienna so I’m really not reading the action (Jagger’s) as that much of a dis really. It is his perogative.

If people laughed at George getting egged, well, that’s one thing. However, it’s something else entirely when you get the egg on your face all by yourself.

So go away.
Seriously.
Buh Bye.

Jagger did not “dis” Bush. He simply refused to give up his hotel which is well within his rights. Whats the big deal?

GWB needs a blowjob. I’m sure you’ll be happy to accomodate him because, after all, he is our President!

I’m not arguing that. What I am saying is that 1) he didn’t have to be so arrogant in his refusal and 2) Diogenes et al were way off base in their glee over it. A sterling example of bad manners from all parties concerned.

Had I been in Jagger’s place, I’d have given the room up. Good will, good manners, that sort of stuff. I understand the problems with security for travelling heads of state, and the request was more than likely made with that in mind, and not with the arrogance that earlier posters immediately assumed.

In addition, I probably would have wound up with even nicer rooms out of the deal.

From the article, it’s not clear that nicer rooms exist.

Who cares what Mick Jagger does? He can do whatever he wants-- and so can the rest of us, for that matter. The dancing around in that thread was juvenile, for sure, but I don’t see why it should matter whether it was Bush or Joe Schmoe. We’re a republic, not a monarchy.

Which is why you’ll never be in his place.

There’s a certain amount of hootzpah involved in becoming a rock and roll mega-star. Clearly, Mick has it, and you don’t.

Is Hootzpah a euphemism for “penis”?

“Balls made of brass” actually.

Bush is a monster and a walking disaster, it’s the duty of good people everywhere to disrespect and hinder him at every opportunity.

Not if the head of state is evil and an incompetent fool.

It gives me great satisfaction. And if I was in Jagger’s position, I’d come right out and say how I enjoyed getting in Bush’s way.

And I’m embarrassed that you or anyone else still supports the thing in the White House.

That’s how Bush got “elected” twice.

I think it might have something to do with breateses. Same root word as “hooters.”

“Extraordinary rendition of You Can’t Always Get What You Want Mr Jagger,” hinted Bush.

because only some peoples personal rights are important, apparently. and some one who is not an American citizen obviously should acceed to the requests of the American President, especially when they’re not in America, 'cause, well, shit, he is (Darth Vadar voice on) the worlds most powerful man. (DVVO).]

or something like that.
