Hello? Remember me? 
My computer died (power supply went out), and we had to wait for it to be repaired under warranty (I could’ve fixed it in 10 minutes). Then the replacement part blew up as soon as the repairman plugged it in, and we had to wait another 2 weeks…
Today he came back with another one, and it seems to be working…So what did I miss? Anything important happen while I was gone? I’m not even going to try to catch up…
Nope. absolutely nothing’s happened in your absence. We just sat around here wondering where you’d gone.

Weren’t you supposed to welcome newbies in my absence? Now look what happene: I had to come back and forsake the novel-writing because somebody couldn’t keep his computer from blowing up.
