I'm bored...need a new website

Worth checking every day:

www.b3ta.com (The front page)
www.b3ta.com/board/popular/ (The “popular” posts to the main board.)
b3ta.com popular links (The “popular” posts to the links board.)

(The SDMB, b3ta, Metafilter, Google News and the IMDB account for about 99% of my daily web routine. The absence of any of them would leave a hole in my heart.)

Thank you all for those suggestions, since I was getting pretty bored myself.

I like joshreads.com (makes fun of lame comic strips in the newspaper), televisionwithoutpity.com (ditto, only TV), gofugyourself.celebuzz.com (ditto, celebrities in awful clothes). And lonelyplanet.com (travel the world vicariously!), salon.com (online news and articles on politics and popular culture), and washingtonpost.com (self-explanatory).

Arts & Letter Daily

I have nothing to add but I wanted to thank Influential Panda for the link.

I’m still giggling 10 minutes later.

If you like comics, http://www.drmcninja.com is hilarious. Just discovered it a month or two ago. (Be sure to mouse over the strips and read the tooltips.) Also http://www.garfieldminusgarfield.net is great.

Wow, I need to be taken away from this thread.

My already computerized free-time has just been COMPLETELY taken over by these websites.

From 8:00 am to noon on Sundays CST KSHE Klassics plays progressive rock: deep cuts, classic rock songs that you maybe haven’t heard for a while, and KSHE [St Louis] Klassics.

K-Hits plays no repeat classic rock.

Digg and the relatively new The Daily Beast are interesting news aggregators.

TV TROPES Wiki. (It covers also the tropes from movies and other forms of entertainment)

Warning, as they even say,* TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life*:

Do you like to read? You can while away a lot of hours cataloging your books on Goodreads.

The fail blog is good for some schadenfruede.

Damn, I was just going to post the fail blog…

An interesting blog on oddities.

An interesting blog on professional photoshop howlers.

Brilliant photoshop work.

Wow - thanks. That already cost me a couple of hours today, but it was worth it!

www.break.com
www.fazed.net

Some of these have already been posted, but what the hell:

MetaFilter - including AskMeFi and the other subsites. Much of my online time is spent there.

www.absolutewrite.com is great for writers.

Wow. Just wow.

There’s an amazing photo of Eartha Kitt on page 7. Brought tears to my eyes.

I like to check out the new ULs on Snopes and read the recaps on TelevisionWithoutPity.

Yay for additions…

www.uniwatchblog.com: A website that’s devoted to the “look” of sports. Everything you wanted to know about uniforms and design. It’s updated every day and is always good for a look.

www.listverse.com: I LOVE this website. It is full of lists. They’re all opinion but there are facts with every one of them and they’re always cool.

www.xkcd.com: I found this one cuz of the dope. A funny webcomic, updated MWF.

overheardinnewyork.com : Another site I frequent courtesey of the dope. This is just conversations people overhear in NYC. It’s always good for a laugh.

www.freerice.com A good website that makes you feel good too!! The main point of this is you try to guess the meaning of a cool new vocab word, and for every one you get right grains of rice are donated to countries with starving people. It’s especially cool because you play enough, and you see you’ve donated thousands of grains of rice…all by playing a game.

I need to second this one. It could eat up a lot of surf time for a while. It is entertaining.
You can read Web Comics like http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=20090104 from the beginning all the way back to 1997.

If you liked there are 248 grudge matches up at WWWF Grudge Match - Where useless knowledge breeds champions including classics like Death Star vs. Enterprise
