I know that Kim Kardashian is a porn star who is on some reality show on E!. I know that she is somehow related to Bruce Jenner. I remember that it was weird that Bruce Jenner was associated with some reality show because I hadn’t thought about him since he was on a Wheaties box when I was a kid. Then Bruce became Caitlyn and that was the second time I had thought about Jenner since I was a kid.

I certainly do. I don’t know how much of it I’ll retain, because, as I mentioned above, I really don’t care. I’ve got more useful things for my long term memory to do. Such as don’t enter the Hall of the Fire Lord until you’ve got at least expert level Lloyd’s Beacon. Now that’s important!
This morning I learned that Kim has a sister named Khloe, and then I promptly forgot everything I know about particle physics.
I know who Kim Kardashian is now, actually more than someone my age should know about her and her vapid family. Last year at this time, however, I had no idea who she was, although I’d heard the name in media.
This is where I am now with Taylor Swift, I’ve heard the name, I presume she is some kind of teeny-bop singer (I don’t care enough to look it up), but I have no idea what she looks like, or what she sings, or why I should care. She’ll probably have a sex tape in a year or so and we all will be unable to avoid her. Bleh.
