I'm Co-op-ing my stove/oven for Thanksgiving

One of my next door neighbors is cooking dinner for her extended family. Oven space will be limited

My kitchen is available, so I said, what the heck. Probably be used for green bean casserole or yams with marshmallows. Our front doors are only about 60 ft apart.

Maybe I will get some yummy leftovers.

You did tell them there was a charge, right?
Pumpkin pie at the very least.

Evidently JC was a dude and one who expected food to arrive cooked, 'cos he forgot to list “letting thy neighbor use thine oven” among the Works of Mercy.

May thee receive tasty munchies that do thee well

Concur!

We didn’t co-opt the neighbor’s stove, but we did use their fridge. And yes, they got fed quite well for it (including some leftovers).

For years I dated someone who lived not only in the same apartment building, but on the same floor. Her door was about 30 feet from mine.

It made for a nice way to cook Thanksgiving dinner. I’d prepare the turkey and stuffing at her place, and everything else at my place. Since I have a probe thermometer with a remote receiver, I could tell the temperature of the turkey in her oven without leaving my own couch.
