Speaking of (and not trying to rub it in) work, I am completely finished for the semester. I turned it all in, ate some NOL and went for a long walk. Now I’m sleepy but have no time for a nap because grief group and Sam’s club shopping are happening tonight and I have quite a bit to do before that.
One day I am going to get in my truck and start heading south, and you’re going to have some tired, hungry woman knocking at your door. So make extra!
Home at last! I’ve got a cake in the oven, the dog has been out 3 times and hasn’t messed in the house yet, so yay! Pup misses her daddy - she’s been looking for him all over, except for when she’s chewing on my fingers.
Supper is snow crab legs. I bought them yesterday, but **FCD **didn’t want them, so they’re mine, all MINE!!! 
After the cake cools, I’ll frost it and cut it into portions for the pot luck tomorrow. I figure if it’s pre-cut, I don’t have to worry about people being too shy to take a piece. Oh, it’s chocolate with vanilla buttercreme frosting. yum.

Alas, the crab legs were disappointing. I’ve never had such flavorless crab… ever!! Oh well.
And the cake fell - it’s now concave! 
It was so beeyooteeful when it came out of the oven, then WHOMP!! Oh well, it’ll still taste good.
**FCD **called, freezing! He had no reception in his room, so he had to go to the parking lot to call me. It’s in the 20s in J-town. Poor baby. He went back to his room to cry himself to sleep. Or at least to sleep. Poor guy has been exhausted lately.
Goofy Higgs is rasslin’ with her pig. It’s a squeeky toy, but it grunts like a pig! Cracks me up!! I’ll have to play with her a while - gotta tire her out so she sleeps thru the night. And I’ve got to frost the cake. And I plan to shower tonight instead of in the morning - without **FCD **here, I’ll have too much to do before leaving for work.
My b-day is in January - is that a good excuse for a gathering??
