I'm getting a new cell phone! Thanks T-Mobile

A few months ago I took advantage of a T-Mobile offer to get a 6610 for 40.00 so I did and the next day my nice 3360 Gold phone died due to water fom above (and it was in my pocket).

I called them the other day to inquire about a new phone because this one is a peice of crud. Yeah the FM radio is nice but the reception is worse than my old one. I can’t even use it in my room by my computer. So after being on hold I was told that there were no phones with polymorphic ringtones and a color screen on the upgrade plan. I would have to pay full price (over 200) for it. I thanked them and hung up.

I called tonight to ask how to change my # from one provider to another hoping they would ask why but thye didn’t.

I then found a schweet phone on AT&T’s site The 3330 for 50.00 after instant rebates and 36.00 activation because I didn’t want a 2 year contract. Before finalizing the sale I called T-Mobile back and offered them one shot to keep me as a customer.

After going though one person who was making me frustrated he offered me a 3390 phone which is B&W I told him right off the bat I wanted color and polymorphic ring tones. Then he offered me a 3395 for 80.00 I looked at the specs on Nokia’s site and saw I could get the same phone after a 50.00 trade in your own phone rebate for 0.00 (thats free) Told this to the guy he said hold on while he looked into it, then came back and transfered me to someone else. I explain to her and she was polite, thanking me for giving them the chance to keep me as a customer. She was able to offer me the 3395 phone for free and NO CONTRACT extension all I have to do is send my phone back at their expense so I said fine you are keeping me as a customer. I’m still under no contract so I can jump at any time. I guess they figured I’m going to tell people and they will have warm fuzzy feelings and switch to T-Mobile from whoever they have well they are right I’m telling people. Although they treated me better than my dad did who was forced to go elsewhere for a free phone and he had his problem a few weeks before number portibality came into effect.
