Best wishes to both of you! May all your troubles be little ones!
Congratulations! Make sure you start threads for planning your wedding - there are lots of us here that love to talk wedding plans.
“May him loving you, on his worst day, be just about as much as you loving him on your best day.”
(…if you Love that man, thats no curse at all. I may be a Miserable SOB and not know either of you from a hole in the wall. Doesn’t mean I don’t wish you both well, M’am.)
Thanks so much everyone! I just dropped my rings off at the jeweler’s today, and should have them back Thursday! I appreciate all the well wishes, and hope our marriage will mirror our dating, no fights, lots of compromises, and lots of love!
Hehe, the planning I’m both excited and scared out of my mind for. I know there’s stuff that I haven’t even begun to think about yet, and I’ll be sure to come here when I do and need help! But as of now, here’s where things stand (and yes, I do realize there’s plenty of time still ahead):
-The maid of honor and best man have gladly accepted their positions (my best friend and one of his brothers)
So hopefully the sooner we get the big stuff figured out the smoother ironing out the details will be! On the night of the engagement he had me promise him one thing: that I wouldn’t become a Bridezilla! So hopefully if everything goes smoothly I won’t be!
Yay! Congrats!
Congratulations!
IMO the two most important things to get settled early are the budget, and how big a wedding do you want, that is, how many guests do you want to invite. Almost everything else will be majorly influenced by those two decisions.
