So completely NOT mundane at all to me, but probably where this belongs, but I’m getting married!! Last night my boyfriend of 3 years asked me to be his wife, and I said yes! He bought my engagement and matching wedding band in the exact style I’ve been drooling over for months, he got it so perfect! Last night I couldn’t stop crying for 2 hours and barely slept at all I was so excited! We’re going tomorrow to get it resized, it’s too small right now so I can’t wear it. And I’m kinda bummed I don’t get to wear my band until the big day, it looks gorgeous together! 
We’re going to have a long engagement, probably a year, because I’m still in college and things are so hectic right now. But I told him I’m more than happy to wait, I’m content with this! I’m so overjoyed and filled to the brim with happiness right now I feel like I’m going to break out in a disney dance number! Anyway, I just wanted to share the big news with you guys 
Oh, and I guess you might want to see my rings huh? Sorry the picture’s so small, it took me forever and 2 different cameras to try to get a clear shot. The jeweler does the resizing in store, so hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to get a better picture with me wearing it!

Congratulations! My girlfriend and I knew each other for five years and dated for about three, much of that time long-distance, before I popped the question on her birthday. We’ve now been married for just over 20 years and have three fine sons. I hope you and your husband have just as happy, loving, fulfilling and supportive a marriage as that with which I have been so blessed.

It’s been more a thing of timing than anything, we’ve talked about it for awhile, I think he’s just been squarreling away funds. And Paul, see the link in the OP It actually started because I found out I was getting an extra scholarship for this term, and I’d be getting a large chunk of money deposited in my bank in a couple days… Here’s about how it went:
W: So what are you gonna do with it?
M: Oh I dunno, just put it up for a rainy day
W: Well, we could use it to pay some bills if you want
(extreme confusion on my part, we are ahead in our bills except for 2 medical ones we pay monthly on)
M: What do you mean?
W: Well… let’s just say I bought you a present that was a pretty penny and we could use that to pay off alot of it
M: :dubious: (we weren’t supposed to do anything big for our anniversary this year, which is Feb 3. like dinner and flowers only kinda thing)
M: You bought me a present? Is it here already?
W: Yes I did, and I’m not telling you anything about it.
M: Really??? (insert huge grins and repeatedly saying how excited I was… for 5 mins straight)
M: Can I have it now? (we are notoriously bad at keeping gifts from the other)
W: You really want it? You sure?
M: Yes!! Please!!!
So here he made me close my eyes. I was sitting stretched out on the couch facing where he had been sitting, so when he came back he sat on the arm of the couch behind me, wrapped on arm around me, and told me to open my eyes. In the other hand he had the box opened in front of my face. I just kinda stared at the most beautiful rings I’d ever seen… that were so sparkly!! I started crying and couldn’t say anything, hell he wasn’t saying anything! Wasn’t he supposed to say something?!?!? In what felt like forever he finally asked, “Will you marry me?” I looked up at him and just kept saying yes over and over interrupted by covering his face on kisses.
Best night ever 
I haven’t gotten used to him being my Fiance now, and not just my Boyfriend! Spoke to the jeweler, we’re taking him the rings tomorrow, and I’ll pick them up Thursday!
Oh! I sent him a text after he’d left for work this morning, “I love you so much! Before I got all impatient, how were ya gonna do it? Were you nervous? :)” To which he wrote back, “Love you too! Lol I didn’t know how I was gonna do it and yeah I was nervous!”
Silly man, he should’ve known what I was gonna say!
