Fair enough. This fucking moron was a shit driver and should’ve damn well known better than to be zipping along at over 100 mph since he apparently lacked driving skills and the common sense to not behave like the show he was featured in when the cameras weren’t on.
Better now? If it’s not, I could certainly add more disclaimers to the whole “drunk driving” thing.
The evidence is the photos of him drinking right before the crash and the testimony of the friends that were with him that he’d had at least three beers and three shots in the previous four hours.
Meanwhile, the police have stated that the car was doing 130 mph when it crashed.
I’m not glad that he’s dead, but Dunn is not the victim here - he’s the perpetrator.
That’s what I’m saying. All we have to go on right now is what the bartender is saying and we know he’s not going to get up and say “OMG dude, he was shiiiitfaced when he crawled out of here, holy crap, I didn’t even know he left, I figured he was sleeping it off in the parking lot like he normally does”
Legalities aside (since I don’t know enough about it), this is so big right now, he’d get caught up in a PR storm if he admitted to over serving and it could end up hurting his business.
So I drove up the exit last night as usual. At that point in the road, there are two lanes heading west (where he was driving), and the skid marks show he was not only not in the right lane to make the right exit, but he may have been to the left of the left lane, over the center line in the direction of oncoming traffic. And the skid marks were straight, no swerves (and no squashed squirrels or children). It looks like he was going hog wild down the road, decided at the very last moment to take the exit, and plowed right into the trees.
Can someone explain why there are two left skidmarks which merge
into a single skidmark? I also wonder how fast a car like that needs to
be going to jump a guardrail at what looks to be about a 45-degree angle.
Oh, and sign me up with those who are at least leaning in the direction
of being glad that one menace to society is no more.
And oh, who wants to bet against the forensics boys and girls reporting
back to us with a 0.2% blood alcohol level for this Darwin Award champ,
not that three shots and three beers doesn’t equal shit-faced unless maybe
you weigh about 300lb.
And finally who in God’s name could possible think there is anything funny
about sticking a toy truck up your ass?
I’ve no experience with these matters but it would appear that his slide was increasing and his car was exactly perpendicular to the direction of motion when he hit the guardrail. Sliding sideways, he crashed driver’s side first.
ETA: colonial, I think there’s another merging on the right at the exact same rate. Look close, for some reason it’s a little lighter. I interpret the two on the left as the two rear wheels coming around to 90 degrees, the two on the right being the fronts.
Would you consider someone shot by the cops after shooting up a school a victim also?
Too bad he took someone with him when he committed suicide, but at least he didn’t kill someone in oncoming traffic.
Around me a guy driving the wrong way on a bridge over the Bay wiped out most of a family. The father was a hardworking guy who delivered papers. It would have been much better if the killer had driven of the bridge and drowned before he destroyed a family. Maybe this asshole would have killed someone a bit down the road if he hadn’t killed himself first.
Fuck him. He deserved to die. It’s unfortunate that he took someone else with him, but i’d be very surprised if his friend didn’t know that Dunn had been drinking.
I’m glad he died because he can’t ever do something like this ever again. That’s one less drunken moron putting other people at risk. If he had escaped this incident without a crash, he would have tried again.
Are you suggesting his passenger thought his driver was stone cold sober? Or that he thought his driver was really a mild-mannered accountant rather than a guy who made his fortune off being breathtakingly irresponsible? Or are you intentionally ignoring “assumption of risk?”
Never mind. I don’t really care what you think because you’re a dick. People are people and do worse to each other every day, most of the time on purpose.
