WTF kind of a misanthropic, morally bankrupt, nonsensical argument is this?
Oh, never mind. Just answered my own question.
You had me pegged at “misanthropic.” The rest is open for debate if you like, but there’s really not much point, as I am a misanthrope to those who believe me sincere, and a troll to those who can’t accept the fact that some people are disgusted with human beings as a species.
I’m glad that other than saying “it was too soon” Ebert is sticking to his guns and not giving the usual "I didn’t know words could hurt’ apology.
The Phelps Family Singers are planning to picket the funeral of course. Let’s see- Ryan’s best buds are attention whores who have next to no fear of consequences and love disgusting stunts… please lord let this be the one. Ryan would have wanted it that way, guys.
Well, fair enough then, I suppose. That’s a pretty wretched way to go through life, in my opinion, but it’s your problem, not mine.
As you were…

at Sampiro:
Hi, I’m Johnny Knoxville, and this is the “21 gun salute”
(hint, there will not be firearms involved)
So he died the way he lived: drunk, with a car shoved up his ass.
Dunn’s passenger has been identified as Zachary Hartwell. Hartwell is best known for his roles in The Wild Bunch, Ice Station Zebra and McHale’s Navy.
lieu’s got a tricky brain.
His shame is knowing that I understand how it works.
I agree with this. I really can’t feel too bad at what happened to him. He pretty much was asking for it. But I do see a difference in intent. I think there’s a big difference in actually trying to cause pain vs. criminal irresponsibility.
Hard to argue he didn’t deserve what he go though. Over twice the legal alcohol limit and over twice the legal speed limit? After one DUI? I can see having a bit of empathy over one mistake, but over this sort of compounded stupidity? No excuse for the guy.
Still, that’s a long way from showing glee at the death of someone.
