Yep, today I bought the ticket
and I also picked out my passport at the postoffice.
As you probably know or figured out I’m going to Washington DC
to see Montfort,
but I’m landing in Newark(New York),
because of my “stupid” back,
I have to take the quickest way there.
So Montfort will be there and pick me up with his car
and then we will go to Philadelphia first.
I have never been in the US,
always wanted to, since I was a teenage
and now finally I’m going there.:)
I can’t belive it.
But most fun will of course be to see Montfort again.
And also some of you Dopers here,
looking forward to that too.:)
I almost forgot, I’m going there January the 13
and will be there to February the 11th.
So, see you then, some of you.:)
It’s brave of you to go to DC during the political turmoil. What country are you coming from? Someone so glad to visit
the US must come from a bad place.
Come to Minnesota someday, you can see all of us of Scandinavian extraction, and listen to us try to recall the Swedish we’ve picked up during our travels.
Lat oss gifta oss, ha hundra barn, och ha sex varje dag.
Philadelphia—my home town! Be sure to see the Liberty Bell, and Elfreth’s Alley. Also the atrium at the former Wanamaker’s store on Market Street, right near the terrific 1870s City Hall.
Are you going to be in New York City for any length of time? Maybe we can meet for tea at the Algonquin.
Eve: I didn’t know Philly was your hometown, too. We’re just stopping in Philly for the first night on the way down to Washington to make it easy for her. We’ll be up in Philly at least one of the weekends she’s here, and I’ll probably take her into town to see some sights.
Unfortunately, we won’t make it into NYC this time, but I have promised to take her there for a weekend in the future.
I promise to let all of you meet her when she’s here, even Olentzero, but let us have a little time alone together first. Y’know, like a month.
Thanks Silver Fire.
Maybe I meet you another time,
I’m sure I’ll be back.:)
Bill Clinton I asure you I don’t come from a bad country,
Sweden it is and it’s a good one to live in actually.
Tack Johnny L.A..
I still would like to fly with you
in a helicopter one day.:)
Okay LNO, maybe I will go there one day.
Tack Olentzero, du är en av dom som gör
att jag känner mej välkommen.
Kan du spela fiol på riktigt och sjunga Bellman?
Mycket coolt i sådanna fall.:)
Thanks Fletch.
I’m sure it will be fun
and i might not count the hours,
but the days.
Tack Falcon.
I surelly hope to see you when I’m there.:)
Hi Eve.
I wish I had the time on this trip to spend some time In New York,
I hoped for that.
But I’m sure I’ll be back and then I will deffently
wisit New York.
Maybe we could meet then?:)
Yay, I can’t wait to see you too, Montfort.:)
Hi RTFirefly!
I’m looking forward to see you too.:)
Okay, I think you all took me too seriously when I asked to be alone with Anniz for an entire month.
We’re going to spend oodles of time in Philadelphia (and South Florida, too, if anyone down there is lurking), so I’m sure we’ll be able to find time to meet those who want to meet us. Or, just meet her, I’ll understand, but I’ll be tagging along just to be safe.
Welfy, I didn’t know you were in PA (I thought Ohio, for some reason). Wherebouts? Any chance you can come down (I’m less than four hours from Pittsburgh) for my Come Meet Anniz party (which may or may not be on the Super Bowl)?
