I do try to be clean and more or less groomed. Nothing more.

The sort of folks who would be interested in me if I was taller, or had more hair, or had a bigger/smaller x/y/z are not the sort of folks that I am interested in developing a closer relationship with - I have enough good quality friends, and attracting the opposite sex has never been a problem.

Note: I am a pretty average looking guy, but I think personality goes a lot further for longer than looks. That goes for me, and for my friends.

I mean, I also don’t believe in objective beauty and find that many supposedly beautiful people look plain or even unappealing to me. And I’ve found that that trend seems even stronger in people who have undergone ‘enhancement’ - it sometimes even gets kind of uncanny valley for me.

I mean, that’s all true. But entirely independent of that, I knew where I stood on the appearance front a long time ago.

Hair plugs sound appealing, but I’m not sure I have enough hair on my body to cover my oversized head.

Besides that, I’ve seen pictures of hair transplants gone wrong. Very unsettling.

I knew a cow-orker who’d undergone a hair transplant but then would cut it short. It looked like a field of brown bunch grass.
