Different people have different perspectives on different matters and come to different conclusions, and if you cannot respect that then you need to ask yourself if you truly believe in democracy or if you’re just a bigot.

Yes, we believe in Democracy. The Apportionment Act of 1911 put a cap on the number of representatives, thereby ensuring the Electoral college would only become more un-Democratic as the years passed. Millions more of us voted for Her. But we’re looking forward now–to Trump’s continuing embarrassment & the loathsome agenda his ascendancy has empowered in Congress.
Many of us are not shutting up because we care about our country. And that “bigoted because you criticize bigotry” claim is an old one; even when new, it never worked.

Even though they won the election, they are so fragile that the slightest whiff of negative sentiment can send them into shattering tantrums, which they often express by projecting their own feelings of inadequacy and confusion on the critics.

To watch the results of the election cycles of the USA from outside, the pretensions of the hard partisans of each side that some how their reactions are different from the other side is just completely amusing… it is either the sheer gross hypocrisy or maybe worse the complete self deception.

In Germany, we actually ban parties, entire political parties, from taking part in democracy. Our democracy is stronger, not weaker for it. Tolerance of intolerance leads to tolerance going away; there is no paradox in defending a tolerant society from the intolerant.
Different people have different perspectives on different matters, and sometimes those perspectives are stupid, immoral, dangerous, harmful, or malicious. The perspective “I should vote for Donald Trump for president” belongs to at least two of those categories. Meanwhile, Clothahump is nothing more than a two-bit troll, and I still find it hard to believe that he hasn’t been banned when quite a few posters I quite liked, who very often made well-intentioned, intelligent posts (something this asshole has shown himself completely incapable of), got hit with the banhammer.
