I'm Gonna "Reach Out" And "Throw ____ Under The Bus".....

… because “it is what it is”.

Three phrases I am sick of hearing.

That’s it and thanks for letting me vent. ;)

At the end of the day, let’s leverage the low-hanging fruit.

What’s the take-home from this thread?

Zounds!

We’re going to have to deep-dive on this one, really take in all the granularity.

I’m not sure what the key learnings are in this thread, but the writing’s on the wall.

Are you asking for a paradigm shift, Quasi? I’m not sure best practices would allow it.

(from my boss’s repertoire)

Well, yeah. Let’s just waves hand in the air nods head affirmatively stops speaking

Gotta love the vagueness.

“Nothing is impossible.”
“You can be anything you want to be.”
“Everything happens for a reason.”

I’m not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about this topic.

We’ll touch base on this topic later, after we dialogue in the War Room.

Put a pin in that for now, I’m really in the weeds on this project.

I suggest we run it the flagpole, see who salutes, then table it until someone conceptualizes an end-run solution for it.

We need to grow this thread so we can take it to the next level.

Allow me to ‘ping’ the OP as well

This thread is the gold standard!

I was recently the recipient of a speech from one of the exalted from on high. During the 50 minutes we were held in thrall the only thing I gathered was that we are, “moving forward”. Apparently that phrase is used by management in lieu of a period at the end of a sentence.

As an example, take my paragraph above and append “moving forward” to every verb-noun combination, comma, and period to translate to management-speak.

The entire talk sounded just like that, but I guess it is what it is.

What is the ask in this thread?

This thread has created a lot of synergy for me because I network with many entities that talk this way.
