It’s ice cold and all shook up. It’s my second choice, but the store didn’t have any Kayo. What’s your afternoon pick-me-up?
I haven’t had any Kayo for years. Do they still make it?
My favorite afternoon libation is fresh-squoze lemonade.
I think they do make it, but I can’t seem to find it when I get the taste for one.
Lovin’ the lemonade. But only in summer. We’ve got snow flurries here today, so I can hold off on the lemonade for a bit.
Bacardi 151 with tabasco sauce. perfect for an afternoon pick me up.
Orange juice and Sprite. Mhmmm good.
There’s a bottled non-carbonated soft drink that only my chain of supermarkets makes (I shop at Martin’s). They’re called Fruit Connection, which is ironic, because right on the bottle it says “Contains 0% fruit juice”. I think it’s supposed to be their answer to Crystal Light. But Fruit Connections kicks Crystal Light’s ass. My favorite flavor, which I’m enjoying right now, is Cherry Limeade.
I love Yoohoo, too, though.
Leninade.
Never had a YooHoo or a Kayo. What are they?
I love Diet Snapple’s Lemonade Iced Tea. It’s better than lemon ice tea, and it’s better than lemonade. Problem is, it only comes in those big variety packs of 12 around here, and there are only two bottles a pack. Mrs. Small got a little mad when there were 20 bottles of tea in the fridge and I came home with more…
On Edit: Yoohoo is a chocolate milk type drink that comes in glass bottles, or if you are brave, 11.5 oz. cans. It’s a great drink. I’m not sure about the other…

Yoo-hoo is a “chocolate flavored soft drink” but it is still, not carbonated.
Kayo apparently is as well, but I’ve never heard of it and the site above is the best I could find.
I’d hate to see what you use to wake up in the morning.
Kayo has a picture of one of the Moon Mullens characters on it.
Both are chocolate drinks, but Kayo isn’t as sweet, in my opinion.
Yoohoo is chocolate water. It’s about as good as it sounds. If it had carbonation, it might pass as an egg cream, but it’s really awful stuff – and I love chocolate.
I don’t usually have a pick-me-up, but lately I’ve been taking a mug of tea.
YooHoo should not be compared to chocolate, no matter what’s on the label. It’s like comparing Taco Bell to mexican food. YooHoo is its own delicious thing.
To answer the OP, lately I’ve been getting a bottle of Mocha Frappuccino from the deli with lunch, and I usually wind up drinking it in the afternoon. Bad habit, but yum!
I’m so sorry to the yoo-hoo lovers, but I just had to share this, because it made me spit up my coke (which is my afternoon drink of choice, being that it is the only thing palatable at the vending machine and it would be UNHEARD OF to leave the building in the middle of the day…).
In high school, a guy I knew got caught in a storage room in the school jerking off into a yoo-hoo bottle. He has probably yet to live it down, and until I graduated no one dared bring yoo-hoo to school for all the jokes that would definitely ensue… the most creative definitely being “Yooooo-hooooo! Come here!”
