No, that is not enough. In this way, you only reply to a specific post. To quote, you need to highlight the part you want to quote and click the gray button that forms below your highlighted text.

I’m here! I had no real issues getting in - just had to change my password. It’s going to take some getting used to. 
Well, I made it. I had to alter my username, and it’ll look weird seeing it like this for awhile.
I used “control/end” and held it down for a fast jumping scroll to the last post in the thread. I didn’t read all 307 posts above me to see if anyone else found a better shortcut.
Just posting to say I made it through, yay.
This is going to take plenty of getting used to. No snap judgments, giving it time.
Finally figured out that the email login messages were going into a different folder, and then the password reset email went into SPAM. Now to see about fixing my avatar, which looks horrible here.
Where you all finding the ‘themes’ I really need to change to something easier.
in your profile, go to “Preferences” and look under “Interface”.
The Material Design theme is what I am trying, its a bit closer to the old text blocks we (many of us) seem to have liked.
Oh, I know what I’m missing. The time stamps. Where are they?
Upper right corner of each post there’s a time elapsed since the post was made (xxM). Mouseover that and you get a tooltip with the exact time and date.

Everyone will be fine once we find our bearings. On the right side of the page, one can see the total number of posts and the number of the post one is viewing.
ETA: together with the date.
The problem is you might see several posts at once and there’s no indication which post the number refers to.
ETA: the post at the top is the one.

I am here for now, but the lack of a list of subscribed threads sorted by currency is a deal breaker. I urge the powers that be to either fix this or move to another platform. Also, Discourse is very needy/in your face.
