I have a plug adapter, but no voltage converter. Can I just plug the Xbox into the wall socket with a plug adapter like I do with my laptop, or do I need to convert the voltage?
Most electrical devices like 360’s can take 110 and 220. AT least, my Kindle, laptop, etc… all did fine when I went from Texas to Seoul, and people who had American 360’s in Seoul just needed adapter plugs for wall current. You might want to check on Microsoft’s website, just to be sure.
If they sell 360’s in Israel (I have no idea if they do) I would think the safest thing to do would be get a 360 power supply designed to work with the local power outlets, not to mess around with adapters.*
Also TV standards may be an issue, again, I have no idea what Israel uses (NTSC, PAL) or if their HD system works with American devices. Just something else to consider.
Finally, games. If you’re just planning to play American games on an American system, obviously that’s fine, but if you plan to play games from other regions on an American system, you may run into region locking. Some games will play in any region, other games are locked.
*-This is an Xbox 360, right? You only said Xbox, but many people just say Xbox when they mean 360, the power supply issue would be different with an original Xbox, since they use an internal power supply with a simple cord, so using a local power supply would not be an option
