Oh, good god. That post by Master Control was made by me. I’m at work and on his computer and forgot to log him out. Memory problems, indeed.
Sigh.

Cordy is the one I love.

Sure, I love Willow too. Nearly everyone does. But the one I really love is Anya.
Dawn (Yes, I know I’m a perv. She’s over 18 now.), Anya, Faith, Cordy, Nina. Willow was cute, but not my type. Too passive, unless she goes all psycho-killer.
I rank them: Willow, Jenny Calendar, Cordelia, Faith, Anya, Buffy, Joyce (MILF!), Kendra, Tara (and I’m only on season 4 so far).
Of course we do. She’s Willow.
And since we’re ranking:
More men than women. I think that’s a first for me.
cbawlmer, silenus, Lou, Aes, for some reason the SDMB must be misdisplaying your posts, because the way it appears on my screen, none of you have Cordelia at the top.

I just found her such a repellant character for so much of seasons 1 and 3 on Buffy, that it affected her hotness ranking. But I’m really growing to like her on Angel season 1, which I’m now halfway through. And there’s no denying she is gorgeous.
My feelings exactly. When she stopped reminding me so much of the meanest girls I ever knew in school, she seemed much more attractive. Though maybe all high school Cordy needed was a good spanking. Hmm.
BBVL, are you watching Angel Season 1 concurrently with Buffy Season 4 so you get the crossovers?
I realize this thread has mostly been about Willow and the other Hot Chicks, but I feel it’s important to reiterate that the Buffyverse is truly the Land of the Hot Guy. When the dorkiest guys in the whole school are superhot, built, funny Xander and cute little Jonathan, that’s awesome. If Spike had attacked my school a la “School Hard” and killed a bunch of my classmates, it still might have been the best day ever. Lucky for me, I spent most of my high school experience hanging out in the library anyway, but if I’d attended Sunnydale High I never would have left. Even at 15 I had a thing for much-older British guys. I would’ve been the best library aide Giles ever had and might’ve knocked Cordy down as I passed by her while sprinting towards Wesley. Yes, I even liked the uptight nerd version of Wesley.
Oh, great! Now there’s no way I’m getting any work done today.

Indeed, as my top five attests to, the men of Buffy are just as attractive as the women and Andrew and Jonathan would both be included if I were to flesh out my five to a full ten.
As for Cordy, there’s no denying Charisma Carpenter’s gorgeous and I would probably die of an aneurysm if she ever came onto me but the character of Cordelia, even in the later seasons of Angel, never did much for me. Going by physicality alone, she’d probably be near the top of the list (before she got orange and developed that odd underbite thing) but as a whole, there’s just some spark missing that makes me really dig her.
I certainly am, thanks to the generosity of Straight Doper Selkie, who was kind enough to loan me Buffy season 4 and Angel season 1 to watch at the same time. I’m going one by one, trying to mimic the viewing experience of when they originally aired, and I’m at the halfway point (11 episodes) into each season. “I Will Remember You,” Angel episode 1.8, was one of the most heartwrenching moments yet, when Angel became human and reunited with Buffy for one day.
Yeah, no kidding. I boohooed through that one.
I’m so excited for you, going through the series for the first time. It makes me want to start a thread just so we can ask, “Which one are you watching now?” and you’ll say what you just watched and then several dozen of us will squeal and say, “Oh, don’t you love the part where this happens and wasn’t that part funny and wasn’t this other thing just incredibly upsetting” and then some of us ubernerds can fill you in on backstage trivia for everything that happened because there is trivia, and we know about it.
Naah…I distinctly remember a white dress. Was she at the 2004 MTV movie awards by any chance? I hope my mind isn’t playing games with me here
