I haven’t posted in a while, nor started a thread in even longer… so, this seemed like a worthwhile reason to start one. I’m now 7,000+ miles from home, sitting in a hotel in Pusan, South Korea, on a business trip. The actual “business” part hasn’t really started yet, though. So, what’s the first thing I do? Set up the computer, start e-mailing people, and post to my LiveJournal.
This is all pretty unusual for me, since it is the first time I’m travelling on the company dime, and it’s on the other side of the world. For some experienced business travellers, I guess, it’d be as banal as a trip to the grocery store.
Feel free to leave any comments or ask anything you want, but I may not get back to the thread until late tonight (it’s 10:15 AM Thursday here).
You gonna bring back some kimchee for Tris?
Do you want him hauled off to Guantanamo for trafficking in chemical weapons?
When come back, bring Korean pie.
How’s the weather?
Can you have a word with the www.icho.sk/, held in South Korea this year, to the effect that athelas should compete?
Make that…could you have a word with the directors of the IchO, to the effect…
That totally hurts my head … but in a good way, I think.
So did you get it worked out with the concert you had scheduled at the same time?
I guess I could bring back some kimchi… I’d just have to figure out where to get it, and if there are import restrictions!
As yet, I haven’t even tried eating any, yet.
athelas, it’s been cool, maybe upper 50s, low 60s, but unusually windy here in Pusan. And sure, I’ll get right on that thing.
Misnomer, now it’s 6:30 PM, which would be 5:30 AM your time. Good morning! (I’mak not changing my time zone on the board while I’m here)
Guin, the concert is still happening, just a day or so after I get back. The jet lag didn’t really affect me too much going over, so I’m hoping I won’t be all screwed up on the way back. I’ll let you know!
Coming back from Korea is the best. I landed in Atlanta 30 mins BEFORE I left Korea. Can’t beat that speed.
