I'm in Sundance???

CSA: Confederate States of America, a film for which I was the second unit director of photography, first and second camera assistant and various other duties for several years has made it to the Sundance Film Festival in the American Spectrum catagory, which is eligible for the audience award.

The American Spectrum program testifies to the abundance of compelling new voices and the thriving creative spirit in American independent cinema by presenting noncompetition dramatic and documentary films from a diverse group of the nation’s emerging filmmakers. Sundance Film Festival celebrates the filmmakers who create this work.

Due to the overwhelming audience response to this program in the past, American Spectrum films are eligible for the Audience Award. Past American Spectrum films include
Hard Eight, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson
Manny and Lo, directed by Lisa Krueger
Gods and Monsters, directed by Bill Condon
Blue Car, directed by Karen Moncreiff
Born Rich, directed by Jamie Johnson
Detective Fiction, directed by Patrick Coyle
Yay for me.

So, who wants to buy my way to Utah in January?

Yay for you!

Sorry, no $$ to front a ticket to Utah, but please accept my heartfelt congratulations!

Wow! Congratulations; that is no small feat.

Thanks. I get more and more excited whenever I think about it.
