I'm in the mood to watch a wacky movie--RIGHT NOW

…so I added it to my Netflix queue, and it came in the mail today. Fun, lightweight movie, certainly qualifies as being “wacky”.

It did, however, make me want to go back and watch Darkon and Monster Camp again. (MC is available to watch instantly on Netflix)

This is the best suggestion in the thread.

My vote is for Kung Fu Hustle. The End.

I just bought a new copy of this one for $7.99 at Target. Pretty well impossible to go wrong at that - though I still want the original Chinese versions of it and “Shaolin Soccer”.

Wacky to the max.

This one is wacky but considering the times (1969) it was groovy. Tony Randall decides to move his family into an underwater house in Hello Down There.

What nobody for “Howard the Duck”.?

I didn’t care for Howard the Duck.

Holy Crap! I would love to attend your church!

That’s true for me. I liked it ok the first time, liked it ok the 2nd time, by the 3rd time, I thought it was one of the best movies ever made! The Coens are like that. Multiple viewings always reward.

(Btw, if any Lebowski fans in Chicago are reading and interested, it’ll be a midnight show at the very comfortable Century Evanston 18 this Friday, the 14th.)

OpalCat, have you see Raising Arizona and O Brother, Where Art Thou? They’re wacky and brilliant at the same time.

Yes to the first, no to the second. It isn’t available for streaming though :frowning:
