Don’t feel ridiculous at all. Pets are family after all. Our guys tore a hole in the fence and got out when we were at work. Two we found together about a mile away the next day; the third we never saw again. It was five years ago and I still miss her. And we walk the fence every other day or so, making sure it doesn’t happen again.
I had a cat that went missing for a YEAR and I got him back. One day a lady called me and asked if I wanted my cat back. She had only had him for a day, my phone number was on his tag. No idea where he’d been all that time but he was clean and healthy and plump.
I hope you get her back soon.
Oh you poor thing.
Once my Yorkie got out of the house. We have a fenced back yard but that day the front door didn’t latch and the wind blew it open. He walked out of the house and to the neighbor’s. He was just sitting on their front porch like he owned the place when they got home. When I got home from work, I was frantic until the neighbor called to tell me where he was. He could have wandered into our very busy road or a million other places but we were lucky that he chose the neighbor’s house.
