I’m friends with the 19 year old and kinda acquaintanced with the 16 year old.
I could always tell this guy was an asshole. He was controlling and didn’t like his daughters dating. No wonder, he had to share his meat. I don’t think there enough words to describe how shitty this guy is.
Damn. My condolences to those three girls and their mother. I don’t even know what to say. Damn.

Oh, man. I can’t imagine how a piece of shit like that is even around to walk the earth. My condolences to the whole family. I’m sure all three girls will need major therapy, especially the one who actually had to do the deed to save their lives. Ugh. I just want to cry.
I can relate to the feeling. About three years ago, I was having just about the shittiest day of my life. (I’ll spare you all the details.) Finally, I go see my mom so I can unload all the shit I was going through on her, and the first words out of her mouth are “Terrorists have blown up the World Trade Center.” And for a second there, all I could think was, “What about me?”
Anyway, sorry to hear about your friends. At least they’re alive, which is more than you can say for most people. I hope they can put this behind them someday. I can’t image what it must be like to go through something like that, especially at the hands of a parent.
My thoughts are with you, your friends and thier family. That’s terrible. . .I really don’t even have words for it. . .
That being said, you’re still having a shitty day. I hope you get your car fixed, and good luck on a new (and better) job. Just because others are having a worse time doesn’t mean you’re not having a bad time. I hope it gets better for you.

I read a different article about this, and it said that they thought it was the 19 year old who had to shoot him. =/
Those poor girls. Hope their mother and grandmother make it through ok, (I read in the other article that the mother was in stable condition at the time), and that all of them get the help they’re surely going to need.
I don’t know whether shooting the dad was the best choice (may well have been), but at least one of the girls had the cojones to pull the trigger.
I hope they all get good help, and are all able to eventually put this horrible situation behind them. And good luck on the job hunt, IKinSpelGud
Looks like the law isn’t going to go after the girl who shot him, at least that’s what they’re saying. Crazy small town crap. Another friend of mine saw the guy at the grocery store very early that morning buying a lot of booze, and called the friend whose father did this stuff and said, “What’s he doing out of jail?” Another friend of mine’s dad gave the guy a ride back home from jail that morning because they were friends. Apparently the girls are (physically) okay, mostly just bruises and stuff, although he did rough them up with a crowbar a little bit. Their brother (who I’m also friends with) is taking it pretty rough, which is to be expected.
In other news, I got a job as a busboy and my mom let me use her old car (ah, the joys of being 19).
Sheriff’s officials said Ball had recently been arrested for suspicion of sexually assaulting one his daughters and was out on bail.
Must … control … primal … scream.
That’s what I keep thinking. I can’t even imagine how they feel, especially the one who pulled the trigger. How awful…
