I am 64. I think younger women can certainly be decorative, but I really don’t find women under maybe fifty to be attractive.
Wait till you start noticing women noticeably older than you.
I wrote a thread on this not that long ago. I am 44 and have generally been only attracted to women 23 - 35 even when I was in high school and college. That still hasn’t moved much but I have made some progress. I am very looks oriented as a first pass but there are still some attractive women in their 40’s if you look hard enough. I have gone out with a dressage champion that is 46. She is a stunner but that is because she trains almost every day. I am waiting on a call from a 46 year old anesthesiologist to go out today that is also a stunner. I am a sucker for rich Jewish women even if they slacked off a little but this one has it all. I feel a little inadequate but I will do my best.
I can’t see now how things will work when I am in my 50’s or above. I don’t want to french kiss my grandma (RIP) but I am sure I can come up with something. The thing that gets me now though is how young those so-called hot 20-somethings look. I have a 15 year old daughter that has gone through puberty just like her friends and I drive them around. I still think of it as babysitting even though some of them could pass for college students. There is no way I could ever be attracted to them. That is just an instinctive mental block. I think I need a perpetual 33 year old.
Oh, I have!
Why train? The horse does all the work. ![]()
Glad to hear the field just widened up.
This 57-y.o. female has noticed that guys are finally noticing me again too. And, some of them are age-appropriate. But I do find intelligence to be far more attractive than looks, a good thing because i’m having weight issues. But guys are still noticing, despite those issues, and I it makes me happy.

Do men ever really just give it up? By the time you are in your 60s you would think they could have alittle more decorum. Thirsty is not a trait that is desirable or appealing, at all! And BTW young women who chase older men are looking for sugar daddies!
You’re confusing noticing with chasing. Just because I appreciate an attractive female does not mean I’m going on point like a hunting dog. Neither do I believe that every young woman with an older man is a gold digger, I would bet that way, to be sure, but that’s cynicism not knowledge.
I don’t do decorum. It’s a limitation, but I’m a little lonesome right now.
I am glad that is cleared up. Thanks!
I notice them. They don’t.
And being a car nut? I’ve wasted the evening looking into YouTube about Italian cars (slightly) younger than I.
FTR, M or F? I’m thinking M. AFTR, not how I roll.
But yeah, there’s a stretch when we continue being idiots. Think of men as being like dogs. For years we are utterly stupid. At that point the dogs die, and humans get a clue.
I was thinking “damn, more competition.”
There’s any number of subspecies of car nuts. There are muscle car folks. There are Cord/Auburn/Duesenberg aficionados. My personal weakness is '50s and '60s European, perhaps reaching a pinnacle with the Ferrari 250LM or Lamborghini Miura. But each to their own.
Um, M or F? G or S?
ME? The 250LM is perfect, but, IIRC, you’re a guy. Nothing personal.
Er, I mean the long-nose LM with the notch-back or the boxy, mid-engined one? This is important.
You do remember correctly, but I thought carnut might care to weigh in on the subject as well.
It’s mid-engined, but I wouldn’t remotely call it boxy.
I am a me
Kid…hi. Be what you are. But really, Testa Rossa or the boxy, yes they’re boxy, mid-engine 250LM of '65?
