You’re missing the point, here. I’ll be on time in the winter, yes. But in the summer I’ll be early. See?
But you’re going to miss all that extra daylight! We get an hour more, you know. It has something to do with the earth’s rotation or orbit, or giant mirrors. But if it’s from the government, we know it’s all good.
A ha! I observe DST all year round, I’ve opted out of Standard time. I think perhaps this means that we are evil nemesis…es…es. We must meet and dual to the death, only we would never be able to meet up at the same time, giving the whole thing a nice postmodern flavor.
I don’t observe Daylight Saving. But then, no one else here does either, mainly because days and nights are both roughly the same length year-round.

I’m with Diceman. All DST is, is a royal PITA and I am royally sick of it. Just pick one and stick with it. It’s not too much to ask!!!
Yes! Count me in! DST or standard, who gives a crap… I just got the last clock changed a month ago, now I have to do it all again!? Pick a time and stop changing it!
I’ll opt out of DST with you. Me and about a million of my neighbours. 
My work is dictated by the clock, so I’ll live vicariously through you. It’ll be thrilling, I’m sure.

It just occured to me that since I work the midnight shift that night, I get screwed out of an hour of pay!

When I lived in Barranquilla, (even closer to the equator than Panama), I tried to explain Daylight Saving Time to people and they just thought I was crazy. They simply didn’t fall for the notion that you can get more daylight by everyone’s simply changing their clocks at the same time.
