How about some twice-cooked, Szechuan pork, extra-spicy?
(Yes, I know, some restaurants take “extra-spicy” as a personal challenge, but I can hack it.)
I like it SPICY. My Mexican food, too. My friends will say to me when we’re eating out, “Are you enjoying that?” because I appear to be in misery. No, no … I love it!
And a cup of hot-and-sour soup, too, if it isn’t too much trouble.
Is it my imagination, or have the fortunes in the fortune cookies gotten much more general and much more lame lately?
Well, since this is Chinese food on a message board, I guess I can go off of my diet. I’ll assume you’re going to Magic Wok on Telegraph Road, because it’s the only Chinese food in the world.
I’ll have sweet-n-sour pork with no vegetables, no gravy, and the sauce on the side; a side of crab rangoon, some sesame chicken to eat cold tomorrow, and some almond cookies. Nummy, nummy, nummy.
Aw geez, wish I had seen this thread yesterday! I’m just finishing up breakfast [leftover Jamaican Jerk Chicken (with fresh asparagus and mushrooms) and Coconut Prawns (appetizer) from dinner last evening].
Was more in the mood for Beef and Broccoli and a side order of Hot Wings (and maybe a bowl of Hot-n-Sour soup).
I certainly am not one of those types who goes around correcting everyone’s typos. But given the various definitions of the word “wanton,” it was too funny to picture a lewd soup or an undisciplined soup or – however this might be possible – a MALICIOUS soup!
I too wish I had seen this last night. Cal would like szechuan shredded beef, very spicy, I want strange flavored chicken. Little one wants chicken lo-mein. Also white rice, tea, and fortune cookies, please! Thanks!
Szechuan Chicken & Mongolian Beef. I’m sure I can find someone to share with.
An order of those little ribs. My cat loves those.
White rice
I’d also like some pineapple chunks, but someone else can have my fortune cookie-unless there’s ice cream. Fortune cookies crumbled over vanilla ice cream is yummy.
