I saw our local production of this in November with my girlfriend (who loves frogs and toads.) It was very professional, with amazing sets, costumes and acting. But the music was what I remember most about it. The pit band did a tremendous job with all the songs, which were all great. My favorites, though, were the intro (where Toad and Frog are just waking up from hibernation,) and Toad Looks Funny In A Bathing Suit. Despite the silly lyrics, musically these are very well-written songs. You’re very lucky to be able to participate in this. Congratulations!!!
Is this the same Frog and Toad as the children’s picture books? Frog and Toad are Friends, and the like?
Yes, the various acts of the play are adaptations of stories from Arnold Lobel’s books.
