Ugh. I’m glad that you’re finally moving forward and now more tests can be done. Here’s to the next one.
Oh fuck, EmAnJ, I’m so sorry. Get well soon.
Been following this thread for a while. Don’t have anything to add…

I am sorry. Please be kind to yourself.
I’m sorry to see it end this way. Your poor body doesn’t need to go through this!
I’m sorry to hear the pregnancy turned out to be non-viable. I hope everything goes smoothly and you can start trying again soon.
Oh man, I feel so bad for you. Get better soon.
Thanks everyone! I had the shots last night (one in each hip) - it was really quick and the nurse was awesome!
I just felt tired and headachy last night and slept for about 10 hours. This morning I’m starting to cramp but nothing major yet.
The IVF nurse called me yesterday and said they see no issues with us staying on course for our IVF schedule this fall, so I’ll be starting my blood work once I start my next cycle, which will hopefully be late August. We have our first seminar at the end of September and will be doing the IVF in December or January. If some of you aren’t aware, I am donating eggs to my sister as well, so we’ll be doing the IVFs together.
I’m Glad you have the chance to try again. Take care of yourself.
:bump:
Just wondering how you’re doing, EmAnJ.
It never ends.
I started having one sided pain, on the left, on Sunday. Visited the ER and the doctor on call felt no free fluid so sent me home with more T3’s. I called my fertility clinic and they had me some in on Monday for an ultrasound. The doctor saw “something” on my left ovary but it looked like it was possibly a disolving embryo from the methtrexate. She sent me for another HSG, as my numbers should have been going down.
Pain was slightly worse yesterday morning. The clinic called me at around 1:30 pm and my numbers had gone up significantly again. They asked me to come in ASAP. At 3 pm, the doctor finally found a 2.5 cm mass in my left fallopian tube. I was immediately sent to the ER and checked in.
Luckily I was already on morphine when it ruptured at 10 pm. I was in surgery by 11 pm and my abdomen was filled with blood, and the mass was slightly larger then a golf ball. They removed my entire left tube.
I’m home now after a night and morning at the hospital recovering. It was laparoscopic, so three small incisions. I’m sore from the gas they use to inflate my abdomen, but on percoset for the rest of the pain.
I really hope this is over now.
Oh, no! I’m so sorry. This whole ordeal has just been awful for you, and to do everything “right” and lose the tube anyway - it’s just so unfair.
After all this, I think the universe owes you a wildly successful IVF cycle. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for that, at least.
Oh my god.
How could they have missed a 2.5 cm mass in your fallopian tube?! And were they waiting for it to rupture before they took it out?
I’m so, so sorry you’re going through this. How awful. You’re in my thoughts, hon. Take care.
Oh you poor thing. What an awful ordeal! Best hopes for a quick recovery.
My tube was all twisted and the mass was hidden, apparently. They weren’t waiting for a rupture, it actually just happened about 20 minutes after the nurse came in to tell me my surgery was going ahead at 11, so good timing, I guess!
I’m so sorry that it turned out this way for you. Take care of yourself.
Good grief. I second that! Glad to hear you’re OK though.
I’ve been following this thread, and I want to tell you that I hope things get better for you very soon.
